A picture of my own prayer wall
Life is full of walls—physical, emotional, and spiritual. Some walls protect us, while others stand as barriers needing to be torn down. In Scripture, walls can represent God’s protection, like the walls of Jerusalem, or challenges we must overcome, like the walls of Jericho.
As a preacher’s wife, I’ve witnessed how our spiritual walls rise through prayer. When faced with challenges that feel insurmountable, I’m reminded that through faith, God empowers us to raise walls of strength and raze those that stand in our way. While my mind may doubt, my spirit declares, “Let’s do this!” This is a battle fought on our knees, lifting our burdens to the One who can tear down every obstacle.
In Ephesians 3:14-21, we are encouraged to lean into God’s strength, knowing He can do “exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think.” These words have been seared into my heart, reminding me of His unfailing power to bring walls crashing down and rebuild our lives stronger.

So, whether we’re building walls of faith or tearing down barriers, we can trust that God is working in and through us for His glory. Let’s commit to raising spiritual walls of protection through prayer and watch as He tears down those that oppose His will.
