Pioneer Apple Cake

(Light, Fluffy, With Brown Sugar Glaze)

Ingredients (Loaf)

2 cups self-rising flour

2 eggs

1 cup sugar

1 cup boiled until soft and slightly clear, diced apples (well drained)

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp vanilla extract 2 tsp baking powder (total)

1 cup whole milk ¼ cup vegetable oil

Mix everything well in a bowl and pour into a loaf pan.

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) Bake 45–55 minutes Let cool 10 minutes in the pan Turn out, slice, enjoy

✨ Brown Sugar Glaze

(Melts into the loaf while still warm — pioneer heaven!)

¼ cup butter ¼ cup dark brown sugar ½ tsp vanilla extract ¼ tsp nutmeg

Glaze Instructions

Melt butter in a small saucepan. Add brown sugar; stir until fully melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and nutmeg. Pour over the warm loaf right after it comes out of the oven. Let it soak in and form a glossy, flavorful top.
