As we approach the season of Chanukah, I’m excited to announce a special series of blog posts designed to inspire and illuminate your faith. Between December 5th and January 2nd, I’ll be exploring the themes of Chanukah from both a Judeo-Christian and literary perspective, weaving together historical events, Biblical truths, and insights from Max Lucado’s beloved book, The Christmas Candle.
This five-part series will delve into the powerful stories and symbols of Chanukah, drawing connections to our everyday lives and the timeless message of hope that resonates across generations. Each week, we’ll reflect on the significance of faith, light, community, and miracles—reminders that even in the darkest times, God’s presence shines brightly.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
1. December 5th – The Miracle of the Oil: Discover the story of the Maccabees and the rededication of the Temple, a tale of faith and divine provision that continues to inspire today.
2. December 12th – Faith in Action: Reflect on how stepping out in faith opens the door to God’s miracles, both in the past and in our lives now.
3. December 19th – Illumination in the Darkness: Explore the symbolism of light in Chanukah, the Bible, and The Christmas Candle, and how it brings hope to our hearts.
4. December 26th – Community and Tradition: Celebrate the role of shared faith and tradition in strengthening our connection to God and each other.
5. January 2nd – Miracles: Then and Now: End the series with a deep dive into how miracles—big and small—shape our faith and remind us of God’s presence in our lives.
Each post will be published every Thursday morning at 9:30 EST, giving you a thoughtful and inspiring way to start your day.
I invite you to join me on this journey of reflection and celebration. Whether you’re lighting the menorah, reflecting on your own faith, or simply seeking encouragement, these posts are meant to uplift and inspire.
Mark your calendars, share with friends, and let’s spend this season celebrating the light that shines in each of us. Together, we’ll uncover the miracles that make this time of year truly special.
Reflection Question:
What are you most looking forward to as we explore this season of faith, light, and miracles together?
