Life is definitely an adventure. Especially when you are a student, business owner, and a writer/blogger. But though it appears to be a charmed life, looks as always is deceiving. I believe that my last post was nearly a year ago and the delay has been through no fault of my own. Rather a technical glitch that got hung up in the switch of things. But now, thank the Lord it is fixed!

But anyway, I always joke with my NYC friends that my life in a nutshell is Country Girl Gone City and City Girl Gone Country (which is very true) to which they usually correct me by calling me Southern Belle in the City, because of my accent. 😂 Anyway, life is never dull. It doesn’t matter who you are.
My parents invested in me in many ways growing up. My mom always made sure that I was put in every computer and art class possible, while I was growing up in the 80’s & 90’s. I do believe that she was determined to make me the next Bill Gates. However, I think my Dad and my Granny won at that game, for the most part. As I am wonderful with art and I like computers (but I cannot stand to work on them). My Granny on the other hand, she was an Appalachian and one heck of a story teller. While my Dad, his strong suits was in helping to teach me English and writing as well as a serious passion for history.

That being said, the beginning of 2022 found me transferring my troubled theology degree from Lee University 😵💫 (which is a wonderful school by the way, I really liked my supervisor) over to Maryville University, which is a truly amazing school (especially if you have learning disabilities), as they are backed by Apple like Purdue is backed by Microsoft. Which makes them top of the line for anyone with Dyslexia, ADD or ASD. The assistance and the devices and programs for learning help in phenomenal ways.

But whats’ a little bit of excitement without real life calling, right? I mean no sooner as I was feeling on top of the world from joining a new school and seeing my son who I had not seen since before my husband’s transplant as I wound up in the Emergency Room. Where apparently they discovered that I have a digestive disorder caused by blood level issues. 🫤 But k-cera-cera.

Anyways, life goes on and I am so happy to be back! Woohoo!
